Visit a quaint Scottish isle on the Whisky Coast of Scotland: the Isle of Islay. With eight whisky distilleries, world class golf, birdwatching, riding, fishing, long scenic walks, archaeological finds, ancient sites, Gaelic culture and traditional woollens, pottery and crafts..

Cala Sith ( a peaceful haven) is a carefully modernised, 19th century house which can sleep six people. Situated in the picturesque conservation village of Port Charlotte. A fishing pier, sandy beach, shop/post office are all within 100 yards.

The accommodation, which is all centrally heated with full double glazing consists of:
Four Bedrooms - one double, one twin, two single, all with built-in wardrobes and electric blankets on the beds.
Bathroom - with bath, shower, shaverpoint, wash-hand basin and wc.
Large Lounge - TV, Video, mini hi-fi, flame effect radiator.
Modern Kitchen - with dining area, fully equipped with all cooking and dining utensils, electric cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, automatic washer/dryer, and large cupboard.
Patio - with garden furniture and clothes drying area.
Large Garage - with private parking area suitable for storage of cycles, boats, etc.

The entrance hall provides storage for coats, anoraks, suitcases etc. All linen is provided, except towels. A cot and high chair are available on request. Pets are by prior arrangement please, and the house is non-smoking throughout.

Amenities: The Museum of Islay Life, The Wildlife Centre and the Croft Kitchen Restaurant are within short walking distance, as is the Port Mor Centre, where visitors can enjoy lunch or a snack at a lovely cafe abutting a large state-of-the-art children's playground. The house is ideally situated for fishing (sea, loch and river), boating, horse riding, bird watching, golf, superb sandy beaches, the RSPB Centre, or just relaxing.

Travel to Islay is either by Car Ferry from Kennacraig just south of Tarbert on the Campbeltown road, (timetable and online booking available at www.calmac.co.uk) or by air from Glasgow Airport - flights operated by Loganair timetable and online booking at www.ba.com (as of October 26th 2008, bookings should be made through flybe.com)

Car hire is available on the island.

A deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking
